Sugar Land seeks volunteers to help guide land use, promote development of city

Sugar Land residents have the opportunity to get involved with the decisions made in their community by applying to be a part of the Planning and Zoning Commission!

The Planning and Zoning Commission was established to make recommendations to Sugar Land City Council concerning the use of land and other planning functions according to state law, to promote the orderly development of the city, and to serve as advisory concerning master plans and changes to the zoning plan. The commission is comprised of nine Sugar Land residents who serve two-year terms.

So what are the roles and responsibilities of a commissioner?
