The Sugar Legacy Foundation

The Sugar Land Legacy Foundation is a private non-profit organization established in 2010 to create a vehicle for sustainable charitable and planned donations for parks and civic facilities in Sugar Land. Contributions to the Legacy Foundation will support the City of Sugar Land’s acquisition, ownership, construction, development, improvement, operation and/or maintenance of land and facilities.

Sugar Land 4B (SL4B) Corporation

The Sugar Land 4B Corporation consists of seven directors appointed to two-year terms who promote, assist, and enhance economic development activities and quality of life opportunities within the City to encourage economic development.

Imperial Redevelopment District

Members of this board consist of five members appointed to serve four year terms who are responsible for giving feedback and making decisions on the Imperial Redevelopment District.

Parks, Art, Recreation, Culture, and Streetscapes (PARCS) Board

The PARCS Board consists of nine residents of the city appointed to serve a one-year term that provide input, feedback and advice on projects and programs to enrich the visual and aesthetic environment of the City and to advise on other matters relating to long term goals and objectives for parks, recreation and cultural activities, streetscape and urban forestry programs, to ensure an environment where all citizens could share and enjoy the full diversity and vitality.

Independent Ethics Review Board

Nine Sugar Land residents serving three-year terms make up the Independent Ethics Review Board, which enforces Rules of Ethical Conduct for city officials like City Council and appointed board members. The rules cover topics like conflicts of interest, restrictions on political activity and contributions, and more.
