These Veterans served you long before they served Sugar Land

Long before they served the city, these Sugar Land employees were among the men and women who served time in the United States military. We want to thank each and every one of our Sugar Land veterans for their service to our city and our country! Scroll through the photos below to learn about some of our Sugar Land veterans.

Miguel Aguilera is a police officer for SLPD and served in the U.S. Navy from 2013 to 2017. He currently serves in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Brett Hayes is a police officer for SLPD and served in the Army from 1993 to 1997.
Pat Hughes is the Emergency Management Administrator and served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1975. Pat says he spent I spent most of his enlistment onboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CV- 60.  He also spent a 10-month deployment in the Vietnam War and worked on the flight deck in the Arresting Gear, responsible for catching all aircraft. 
John Jorgensen is a patrol officer within SLPD and served in the Army for 12 years.
George Lenaghan is a Detective with SLPD and served for 13 years in the U.S. Army.
Kim Montanez is a records clerk for the Sugar Land Police Department and served in the Air Force from 1988 to 1991.
Marissa Morgan is a Permits Supervisor in the Planning department and served for eight years in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Cargo Load Master.
Kristen Reed is a detention officer within the Sugar Land Police Department and served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2003.
Anthony Rojas is a firefighter/paramedic for the Sugar Land Fire Department and served in the Army for three years.
Ronnie Wusterhausen works as a Traffic Signal Field Supervisor for the City’s Public Works department and was in the Army for five years.
Clarence Pilgram is Senior Facilities Service Technician is a Gulf War vet who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987 to 1991.
Before becoming Sugar Land Police Department’s first female traffic officer, Officer Reyes served in the Army.
Genaro Sifuentes is an administrative coordinator for Sugar Land Animal Services who spent six years in the Army National Guard.
Michael Dravis is an Animal Services Officer and served in the Marine Corp for one year.
William Reaws is a General Maintenance Worker II for Sugar Land Public Works and served in the Navy for five years.
John Bailey is Sugar Land’s Surface Water Plant Manager and served in the Air Force for four years.
