Sugar Land wins Digital Cities award for data analysis

The City of Sugar Land has been recognized with a third place prize by the Center for Digital Government for improving both internal and external communications to staff and the community with the use of Online Town Hall where residents can log in to participate in polls and provide open-ended feedback to questions.

For the last eight years, the City has submitted entries for the Digital Cities Survey Award and has placed in the top ten nationwide every year in its population category.

The judges rated the City’s strategy toward delivering data as a service to the organization high, including the use of data analytic tools and plans to identify and classify data sources to support more capabilities for residents.

This award is just another way the City is raising the bar to innovate and deliver better services for our residents.
