It’s hot outside! Here are 3 ways to cool off in Sugar Land

Y’all, I’m sure we don’t have to tell you about this heat wave we’ve been having.

When the going gets hot, us Sugar Landers need to know where we can cool down and have some fun at the same time. Check out these summer spots for a quick dose of cool air and great vibes.

Splash pads

Sugar Land is home to two public splash pads. Take advantage of them, people!

The Splash Pad at RiverPark is located just behind the RiverPark neighborhood pool and is open from sunrise to sunset. (Beware: the pad is closed on Tuesdays until noon for maintenance.) 5875 Summit Creek, Sugar Land, TX 77479

The Splash Pad at the Smart Financial Centre Plaza has seating, restrooms, and a large parking lot. The Splash Pad will be open until October 15 and operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (it’s closed on Mondays until noon for maintenance.) 18111 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479

Houston Museum of Natural Science – Sugar Land

We have a world-class museum right in our backyard. The Houston Museum of Natural Science – Sugar Land is a great option for those wanting to get a little bit a learning in while they cool off from the hot sun. The museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 13016 University Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77479

Sugar Land Town Square

Town Square Plaza is a Great Place in Texas

Sugar Land Town Square throws great events both during the day and at night (when *cough* the sun has gone down and it’s a bit cooler outside). Check out events like dance classes, live music, and movies under the stars. Located at Highway 6 and U.S. 59, Sugar Land, TX 77479
