Ready to get involved? Sugar Land Boards and Commissions is looking for volunteers to serve

Sugar Land is looking for volunteers interested in giving their time, energy and expertise to serve as members on the Sugar Land 4B Corporation and Independent Ethics Review Board.

The deadline for applications is August 18 at 5 p.m. Applications can be found on the Boards and Commissions webpage at www.sugarlandtx.gov/130/Boards-Commissions. The groups provide valuable insight and advice on various issues and events.

The Independent Ethics Review Board reviews alleged violations to the Rules of Ethical Conduct applying to city officials such as City Council members and appointed board members.

The Sugar Land 4B Corporation is responsible for developing and preparing an Economic Development Plan that includes short-term and long-term objectives of the corporation and guidelines on the use of sales tax funds. These may include municipal facilities, parks, museums, stadiums, parking facilities and other facilities both private and public.

Boards and commissions are essential to the operation of city government.  Service can be a rewarding and hands-on experience.
