When reserving a park, think about the kind of event you’re hosting. There are two kinds of reservations you can make. A Standard or a Non-Standard Reservation. A Standard Reservation is any park gathering that stays within the set occupancy limits of the reservable park space. No additional tables and chairs can be added. A Non-Standard Reservation is a temporary gathering, rally, parade, race, festival, exhibit, display, entertainment, performance, or presentation held in a park space that requires the placement or erection of one or more stages, booths, kiosks, tables, tents, barricades, or similar temporary structure and may exceed set occupancy limits of the reservable park space.

Thinking of hosting an event, but not sure if it’s one that needs a permit? Here’s a link for event producers to understand if they need a permit https://www.sugarlandtx.gov/1645/Hosting-a-Special-Event-in-Sugar-Land

The first thing you need to do when reserving a park online is make an account through Sugar Land’s Parks Portal. On desktop computers, click on “Register” at the top of the page to be taken to the registration page. Select Log In/Create Account in the upper left corner then select “Create your SLPARD Account.”

If you’re creating an account on your mobile device, select “Account” in the upper right corner and then select “Sign Up.”

Once your account is created, click the “Facility Rentals” tab and choose the location you are looking to reserve. For example, click “Sugar Land Memorial Park” there will be options to choose which specific location you are looking to reserve (Pavilion Lake Side or Pavilion Meadow Side) and the locations availability. Availability of the space can be checked online or via phone. Reservations for community centers must be completed in person.

After checking to see if the space is available, select the date and start/end times. If the desired times are not showing, the time is already booked. When you find a date and time that is available, simply add the reservation to your cart and check out. For online reservations, payment is due in full to complete the reservation.

If you are looking to make a reservation in-person, you can do so at the Imperial Park Recreation Center during hours of operation (234 Matlage Way, Sugar Land, TX 77478). The IPRC is open Monday to Friday 8 am to 7 pm and Saturday 8 am to 4 pm. When making a reservation in person, the deposit is due upfront to finalize the reservation. All remaining fees are due 10 days prior to the event date.

The TE Harman Center completes their own reservations so booking the space is only available to request for reservations in person at the IPRC or via phone call.

Just like that, you’re ready to reserve one of Sugar Land’s finest parks! Sugar Land is proud to have vibrant thriving spaces for residents to make memories and celebrate milestones in their own backyard.
