Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the water cycle from a water droplet’s perspective?
Visitors to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land can do just that with Water’s Extreme Journey, an interactive, maze-style exhibit sponsored by the City of Sugar Land Utilities Department. Open through September 7, this immersive experience invites guests of all ages to follow the path of a water droplet as it travels through the water cycle on its journey toward a healthy ocean.
As visitors navigate the exhibit, they will encounter a variety of choices and challenges that influence where their water droplet goes next. Along the way, they will discover how natural processes and human activities can affect rivers, lakes, groundwater, and ultimately the health of our oceans. Through hands-on learning and interactive decision-making, guests gain a deeper understanding of the connections between water resources, environmental stewardship, and everyday actions.
Water’s Extreme Journey highlights an important message: the decisions we make every day can have a lasting impact on water quality and aquatic ecosystems.
