Last fall, some exciting changes happened to our textile recycling program when Green City Recyclers became our new servicer! Green City Recycler is local to our region and is excited about serving Sugar Land’s textile recycling needs. But remember, if an item still has some life in it, consider donating it to a local donation facility. If not, textile recycling is the way to go!
This, our friends, is what diverting textiles away from the landfill looks like! We took a little field trip over to Green City Recycler to see what happens after Sugar Landers schedule their on-demand textile pickup by calling 832-989-2745, and it was truly amazing. Instead of being thrown into a landfill, these textiles will find new life as things like car rags, insulation, and carpet padding!
So, what do you need to know?
📍 There’s no need to haul your textiles to the curb, as they’ll be picked up on your doorstep after you schedule the appointment. This also means there’s no need to put textile items in those orange bags anymore and you can schedule as many pickups as needed!
