TxDOT to begin 29-month roadway project on US90A at SH99

A major road in Sugar Land is getting a facelift as TxDOT embarks on a 29-month roadway project to improve drainage and mobility on US90A near SH99 in Sugar Land.

The reconstruction project will start at the Cunningham Creek Blvd. intersection and end just west of the Gateway Blvd. intersection.

Work on the project begins September 18 and is expected to take approximately 29 months and will include traffic lane closures throughout the duration of the project. The city will be sharing lane closure notifications as they are received from TxDOT.

Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion.

Project updates will be available on TxDOT’s project website.
